New Plant Render in WoT

Hello warriors,

here are two pictures of new plant render for World of Tanks, as displayed on the modified version of the Monastery map. Please note that this is not nearly the final version, which will likely be more... optimized. There is currently no ETA on the new render, but it will not come soon. Still, it looks gorgeous...

  2. This is nice but what we want is multicore support so we can run it properly...

  3. Looks great but there is absolutely no chance it will be this nice on release, given wargaming's fear of overdoing things beyond the capabilities of the Russian calculators.

    2. well, this is a thing you can easily turn on/off, so I do think they will implement it, they implemented HD models as well, which russian turds pcs dont use as well

    3. ... Why do people that live in Console Gaming Wastelands assault Glorious Russian PC Gaming Land?

As weak as the average ruskie PC is... it is a PC. Not a ... console...

    2. FFS guys, asskissing much? WG not doing something to actually improve the game and all you can do is still lick their asses, soon as AW comes out I hope WoT dies along with SerB and Storm getting fired.

    3. So whatever WG will release, you will still whine, don't you ? You better leave this website right now and let everyone say what they wanna say.

  10. These graphics are amazing indeed :o
Can't wait to have them, sometimes even with max graphics fields look too flat... These ameliorations should make it look better :)

HD tanks are great, but HD maps will be better, we will be able to look at it while waiting for an ennemy to appear in sniper mode :)

  11. Can't wait until they actually add in multi-core support so they more room to upgrade easily.

  12. They dont look like WoT screenshots ;D (look amazing!)

  13. They look very good indeed, but I think that the same is going to happen as happened to War Thunder.. Nobody will play like this because it's so much harder to see your enemy.

    1. Well, it won't really matter in WoT becaue you get target markers over enemies anyways, as well as a red outline when hovering over them.

  14. This is a graphical upgrade that WOT sorely needs, the current vegetation is really ugly.

  16. Nice! I especially like the grass! Actually looks kinda like grass now... XD

And just a quick word for those of you hating on the people who are not-so-entusiastic about this new development: they kinda have a point. Unfortunately Wargaming has made a habit of promising amazing improvements, only to implement just a tiny fraction of those grand promises. Its unfortunate, but Wargaming has done it too many times now for people to really trust them to come out with what they promise exactly as its promised, and I really can't blame people for being upset about that. Can you?

PS. I am not a Wargaming hater by any means. I love World of Tanks. I'm just stating a sad fact.

  18. I actually like it, hopefully we will end up anywhere close to the quality on those screens.

  19. WG=Nobheads. Lets add more eye candy and hope that people forget that we cant implement proper multi core and SLI support in this game.

  20. those shadows and lightning... oh yes, plants, whatever...

point is, yes it looks great, but so did the HD models until we got them in the game.

We got one light source in game, until that is changed, we will never see this kind of image quality in game.
