Word "Skycancer" endorsed by WG?

Hello warriors,

it's been a while since WoT wikipedia was made an offical Wargaming resource. Now it seems that Wargaming is embracing the new terminology the players use:

That's right. "Skycancer" on official Wargaming resource. This shows that WG staff running the wiki is both smart and competent. After players pointed this out on US forums the "Skycancer" disappeared but you can still see it in the cached version.

Very professional.

Armored Warfare: Developer Digest

Hello Warriors,

Armored Warfare just published their first Developer Digest, a summary of questions answered in the forums by the devs:
  •     It is currently not possible to refund players for ammunition types removed (read the full explanation here)
  •     Player Noble_Hawk made a proposal for non-linear progression. Richard Taylor (chief developer of Armored Warfare) explained how the developers had a look at such a proposal and why they decided to use the current linear dealer system instead
  •     Currently the progression curve is longer than in World of Tanks or War Thunder but the numbers are temporary and it is possible they will change (“We don't want to inflict painful grinds on players”)
  •     It’s possible that the players will receive more visible warning when they are about to enter a battle
  •     Swaps between multiple weapon systems will not require full reload (as confirmed by Richard Taylor)
  •     Developers are planning improvements of how artillery interacts with the mini-map for rapidly shifting aim around the map
  •     It’s possible that the amphibious vehicles (such as the PT-76) will be capable of swimming; it’s an option Richard Taylor would like to see implemented at some point.
  •     Incapacitating all the crewmembers in the vehicle will destroy it, this is intentional
  •     Developers are currently looking into ways of how to improve the spotting and visibility mechanism
  •     In the future, a feature that will disable most of the most of the graphic effects across the board will be added
  •     Richard Taylor on which vehicles (including prototypes) are suitable for Armored Warfare within the set timeframe of the game: “Any vehicle that was actually built is a viable candidate for the game”
  •     Players can use the handbrake (Spacebar key) to powerslide with wheeled vehicles
  •     Regarding player statistics, it is possible that there will be an option to either show them to everyone or to show them to player’s friends only, this would include the workings of the API’s that would access player data (when that option comes)
  •     After Early Access 2 the Swingfire will be rebalanced (its viewrange will be lowered)
  •     Future tests should feature tighter matchmaker tier spread

Serb voiceover WoT mod

Hello Warriors,

our dearest Serb borrowed his vocals for a voiceover mod, you can hear some of the phrases in this video (pity the subtitles suck):

If you are interested (I sure am) this is the link for the mod: http://res-mods.ru/mod/48799-ozvuchka_ot_wgtv

(Olga "Ola", Asya and Kirill are in it too.)

Storm's Q&A

- 88 percent of players tried at least one Domination battle
- Some of the future Domination variants will be "unexpected"
- Dynamic platoons will be reworked (spam removed)
- In 9.9 there will be new medals for Domination to motivate platoon play
- In 9.9 shadows will be reworked and their quality and optimization improved, there will also be new water render
- 18 vehicles will have their collision model fixed in 9.9 (bugs, holes in armor etc.)
- While BigWorld allows WG to make 1500x1500 maps, this is not planned anytime soon
- FV4202 switch will come this year along with the Chieftain switch
- With "high probability" there will be a free tier 8 FV4202 given to players as a part of some mission
- FV215b (120) will actually stay in the game, developers are not sure how
- Japanese heavies in general are REALLY big (one is twice as big as the Maus) and very slow
- Japanese Tiger will be sold in premium shop in 9.9 and for gold in 9.10
- PvE is being worked on, bots are functional but it puts a lot of load on the server

- According to Storm three monts development reaction cycle (from input to implementation) is completely normal
- Storm confirms that the supertester opinion is taken into account during the feature implementation
- Storm is very satisfied with the results of the new anti-aliasing and graphic system overhaul (in 9.9), there's no more "flashing" of textures
- There will be a new grass render, the grass will be made of polygons instead of just sprites
- WG for PC will have some HD models taken from the Xbox One - "those the realism of which is not that important"
- "Old" HD models will be reworked to the "new" HD quality
- Storm confirms that WT E-100 will be replaced
- AFK Panther will not stay in the game ("It's kinda awkward. Who needs in anyway?")
- WT E-100 breaks the game on high tiers according to Storm. It was sort of normalized but there are issues with it nonetheless (too much damage)
- Top tier British TD's (183mm) have no suitable replacements although they have the same issue as WT E-100 (too much damage). Storm emphasizes: no suitable replacement FOR NOW
- There is "no normal solution" to fight banned mods
- T92 Light Tank will not come this year
