03.09.2015 Q&A

- Storm doesn't agree that the current tutorial sucks: it's there to teach people the real basics - how to move and how to shoot.
- there will be improved tutorial in the future
- Storm confirms: the Preview function from Armored Warfare (the ability to preview the vehicles you don't have yet in the garage) should be implemented
- many players in 9.10 on RU server are complaining about shells flying off (wild angles outside of flying circle), Storm states that this might be due to the poor state of RU servers
- in 9.10 a bug caused the setting "don't invite me to dynamic platoon" to become disabled for no apparent reason (players who don't want to be invited to dynamic platoons are getting invites), WG is investigating why that happened
- the ability of players to customize which medals they want to display on first page of their achievement window will not be implemented: "There are far more pressing tasks"
- RU players are still raging about the compensation for credits, Storm is just banning the whiners these days
- developers decided not to implement the setting to disable the spam about dynamic platoons being created

Hello warriors,

since nothing much is going on in WoT: Armored Warfare just launched a new FV721 Fox trailer. Looks like the Fox is the Luchs of AW!

Virtus.pro stops playing World of Tanks

Hello warriors,

an odd piece of news came from the Russian server. One of the best-known e-sports World of Tanks teams, Virtus.pro, is stopping to play World of Tanks, according to the Virtus.pro site (currently down). One of the team members and a team manager Sergey Pisotsky explains:

"The decision was not simple. The reason for it was that the cybersports tank audience did not meet our expectations. Although the cybersports department of Wargaming has put a lot of effort into popularizing the cybersports element, the events and transmissions of WoT cannot currently in our opinion attract a sufficient number of fans and supporters."

"We took this decision with regret. We had faith in the success of this cybersports discipline, that's why we were one of the first to start a professional WoT team. Now we are one of the last ones to leave WoT. We will continue to keep an eye on this discipline and hope that in the future, WoT cybersports  will win the hearts of fans as well as of all cybersports lovers."
