some of you might have noticed - in the game, we get an occasional following system message spam:
"Attention Wargamers! Wargaming is looking to immediately hire a Content Specialist for its Paris office with a focus on translation from English to Czech. Follow the link for further information: http://bit.ly/1H3qWCE"
So, if you are Czech and want to work for Wargaming, feel free to apply. On the other hand - am I the only one bothered by an unrelated spam in the game? Same goes for unwanted WGL messages and stream "ads" (as a streamer I personally hate those), I wonder if we will see real advertising in the client ("buy this premium tank now!") before long.
Wargaming needs you! |
Unrelated spam? It's related to the game, isn't it? *confused*
ReplyDeleteTake it as "uninteresting" Spam.
DeleteOh, I see... well, it differs for people (for example I like to watch WGL and forget about it all the time), but I can agree with that, I guess.

DeleteAnd ads for in-game purchases with real money wouldn't be any different from other f2p games like "League of legends" etc.
ReplyDeleteAs long as it stays on the notifiation bar and don't suddenly popping up in the screen, it doesn't matter (nor do I bother to check them anyway). Premium tank advertisement is okay too, especially since I actually were used to intrusive ads in other local games before. Again, as long as it's on notification bar.
ReplyDeleteWhat actually bothered me is the "Purchase gold" button, since clicking it will open my browser in the background without any confirmation. I have several cases where I accidentally clicked on them, resulting in sudden performance drop which I sometimes I didn't even realize.
I agree i would hate

ReplyDeletei think this may have been Franks old job
ReplyDeletei seen that message 2c but... lol?
ReplyDeletei dont use any mods or such so how comes into my cliend?
I wouldn't be surprised if those ingame ads come. The new option to automatically convert XP for gold when researching stuff in your techtree was allready a very questionable step to tempt people to pay more money in my opinion.
