  4. I went there 2 weeks ago it is indeed informative and interesting. You get to hear engines in use, see design plans, see the clothes the workers wore and witness many aspects of the workers / designers lives. There is a nice puzzle section for the youngsters where you get to assemble pictures of British tanks: Sultan, Samaritian, Scimitar, Sampson & Spartan.

One of the tanks on display in this exhibition is the 'plastic tank' or 'tupperware tank'. (The advanced composite armoured vehicle platform ACAVP). This vehicle was developed in 2000 and it's aim was to create something that was lighter than aluminium, but had equally effective defensive capabilities against kinetic energy.

All in all an excellent exhibition, and a great day out at the museum and worth checking out! (Visit once and get a ticket to come back any time you want for free within the next year!)
