13.03.2015 QA.

Here it is:

-9.7 test will start later today;
-9.7 will bring the IS-3 in HD after all;
-The changes in BigWorld in 9.7 are mostly internal, they won't be noticed by players apart from perhaps some small performance improvement;
-More big news for World of Tanks will be announced after 9.7 comes live;
-The Overlord map is very historical, the mapmakers made a trip to Normandy to study the architecture and environment there in details;
-It's possible that 0.9.7 will bring some buffs and some nerfs;
-The option for players to select which map they want to play in random battles will not be implemented (RG: should be more select the ones we don't want, map rotation tends to give a overdose of the same maps way too frequently).

    With current MM it'd mean too heavy of a hit for MM mechanism (the map currently gets selected randomly from hourly or so pool of maps with no set rules based on teams or players), I'd estimate at least two patches of work. And with new MM announced and likely already in works, it'd be likely double work at the moment.

    It WOULD be nice if they could release 9.7 before the WoT anniversary in early April. Let us buy the new premiums for gold while 15% off.

      4 years anniversary is at 12th April, but I wonder about T8 discounts, since there are 15% discounts just this weekend.

      It's likely they'll make it, though, even 3 weeks of testing would still make it.

      Manny Crawford, test server is for everyone hun, now the patches are the ones that don't come at the same time, usually RU gets it first, then EU and then NA, not sure about SEA and Korea server thought, will see. :)

    What I'm particularily interested in is the possibility that some of the personal missions will be un-stupided in 9.7. I've read of it back on FTR a long while back, but not a peep since.

    And seriously, "hit 3 enemies, killing at least one of them, all with one shot" is ridiculous. So is "set 2 enemies over your tier on fire" and its ilk. The missions overall are fine, but the rotten bits like that bring the whole down hard.

    Yes, quite right... EXCEPT FOR THAT WINDMILL ! WHERE THE HELL DID IT COME FROM ?
    I'm from Normandy, and for sure there's no windmills here :)

      In sovjet Belarusia, history is written by WG, and if they say there's a windmill, then there was a windmill and who are you to question their historical accuracy!
