Hello Warriors,
first things first, there is no Q&A for today.
Second thing, I'm back on livestreaming after a week break, my new PC just arrived but it still needs to receive some tweaks. Tonight will be hijacking Jingles's Man Cave! *Evil smirk*
Tonight I will be mostly playing on a press account, kindly given by WG,that contains the T-22 sr, M4A1 Revalorise and Skoda T 40.

Škoda T-50
Hello Warriors,
here is the upcoming Czechoslovak tier 9 Škoda T-50.
Description:
The TVP medium tank program continued from 1946 to 1950 with a number of proposals made by both Škoda and ČKD. In 1949 the Škoda proposal received the official designation of T 50. The turret was changed from a welded one to a cast one and the vehicle was proposed to be armed with several 100mm gun variants. The main feature of the proposal was its extremely high mobility provided by a proposed 1000hp engine. Several components for this vehicle (such as transmission) were built and tested but a prototype was never completed. In early 1950, the Škoda T 50 and Praga T 51 projects were unified into one, effectively ending the independent medium tank development by Škoda.

29.09.2015 Q&A
Not much for today:
- It's possible that the rumors about the delay of 10.0 are just that - rumors;
- T95 TD will not be able to make "U turns" in new motion physics;
- The situation with Chieftain is currently unclear, WG wants to implement it but is not sure how;
- WG is preparing a new launcher in which it will be possible (optional) to download (or not download) various game localizations.

Project EMIL: The Swedish “heavy tank” project
Before we start, yes i know this is effectively the third time I'm revisiting this topic. But with this article I wanted to give you the full story behind the development of the "kranvagn". I'm not going to list a lot of technical specs here so if you want those take a look at my earlier articles on the subject:
During the early 1950s the Swedish army was facing the obsolescence of its tank force most of which was still composed of 37mm armed light tanks. And with the cold war heating up in Korea the Swedish military issued a demand for acquisition of a new medium tank. This would lead to the Start of Project EMIL, a project that would ultimately prove too ambitious for its day.
Background
There had been attempts to acquire a new tank for the Swedish army stretching back to 1944 when the army had called for two types of heavier tanks to be developed. The first of which was an up-gunned Strv m/42 with a new turret and a new 30 ton tank design with heavier armor and armament called the Pricken. But with the end of ww2 the development of the 30 ton design was discontinued and only a prototype of the modified Strv m/42 was built and tested unsuccessfully in 1946. Instead Sweden went looking abroad for its new tank. In 1946-47 attempts were made to acquire the Sherman firefly from the British army however due to complications mostly concerning the availability of spare parts meant that the deal was called off and only one Firefly and a number of other Sherman variants were acquired for testing purposes.

59-Patton For Sale
Hello Warriors,
its time to steal grandma's silverware set to help Wargaming EU reach its monthly sales quota before Serb ships them to labor work on his lunar base!
The 59-Patton is being sold on EU until 1 October 07:00 CEST (UTC+2) for ONLY 49.99 euros!
Package includes:
The tank is not too shabby, had some fun playing with it but is definitely not worth the price.
I would love seeing EU making an extra effort than just drop a tank each week in a expensive bundle with extras we don't need and instead give us more options and fairer deals! NA who is currently also selling a 59-Patton bundle for a large price at least gave their players missions for those who purchase the tank. The rewards are not that special but at least its something! Why we, over EU cant even have that?
Why not sell the Premium tanks without the extras for a smaller price?
I've calculated all September's "Collector’s Gem of the Week" bundle prices and ended up precisely at 188.42 Euros. Now, lets make it 200€ to ease down a bit (and because we get so many 50€ bundles) and multiply it with the 12 months of the year to see how much WG EU wants their spending costumers to give annually. Holy Jesus, 2400€...That is nearly 5 minimum salaries in my native country!
Wargaming is definitely losing potential customers by milking it too hard! How their marketing department cant see this is beyond my comprehension...
AgingJedi, a fellow WG's Community Contributor has also made a pricing rant on the tank/ship packages which he makes some very good points I couldn't agree more with:
Go to 7:30 min if you don't want to see the battle.
What is your opinion on this?

August Resume & Contributors
Hello Warriors,
August Resume & Contributors is here at last, where I write what this one been up to and complain about "mein kampfs"! And I warn you, its a long article, been devouring books in English and I'm quickly becoming more fluid with this language. Also, my PC is "motor kaput" currently and Jingles is recording videos at the moment which means, this page is the only thing I can talk to right now.
Anyways, RSR is 6 months old!
In the first half of August nothing really happened, all normal as usual, wake up and be greeted by the cats who always come close and wait religiously to be petted as soon as I start doing the first slow stretches inside my blanket cocoon. I get up, feed the Mistresses of Doom, make some coffee (or Jingles makes me some, bless him, he's great!), work for the rest of the day and prepare stuff for what is to come.
After invitation, spent a couple hours in the Fractured Space studio where I got to meet their team and James Brooksby the CEO who is a very nice and down to Earth lad. Really enjoyed seeing on what and how they were working on the game, which is amazing. And also on how much of a geek heaven the studio is, they have an amazing collection of figures, board games and videogames! For those who never heard of this game, its a PVP oriented Sci-fi game where you pilot ships, each with very different abilities to fight other players, capture resources and then finally take control of the entire map.
Been playing Fractured Space since then, it has done me good to keep my mind away from tanks.
Oh and by the way, I have to thank James Brooksby for the Attack Wing Star Trek ships he gifted, I will be placing them around my Borg cube once I manage to light it up (livestream lair decoration).
On 15 August gathered with the Friends of The Tank Museum and Ed Francis. Don't think I ever mentioned them here before, for those unaware its a paid membership group (not expensive!) who receives extra benefits for helping and supporting The Tank Museum. Click on the link above for more information, its worth. :)
We went to visit REME Bordon, who had a little bit of everything, mostly ARVs but also a couple tanks, trucks, etc. Sadly the place is going to close and because we were the last allowed in our host was a good sport and gave us unlimited access to their entire collection.

Extra 10.0 Armor Screenshots
Hello Warriors,
things are going very slowly here as my PC is giving its last breath. New one will arrive on Thursday and I should be able to hijack Jingles PC while he is gone attending some WoWS stuff.
Sick twice and now this, September hasn't been kind, extremely frustrated but still doing my best, for you. Thank you for the support you gave me last week by the way!
Anyways, have some extra screenshots from the IS-8 (T-10) upcoming armor changes (before/after):

28.9.2015 Q&A
Not much going on today - just that patch 10.0 (former 9.11) will according to supertester leakers be delayed due to a large number of bugs found in it. There is no current ETA on that.
Also, in random news, Wargaming started negotiations with Gazprom Media, a powerful holding on very good terms with current Russian leadership and the owner of several media platforms.

10.0 Armor Changes
Hello Warriors,
"TheMostComfortableTanker" from wotlabs made a nearly complete list of the armor changes for the 9.10 patch, RNG blessings to him.
- Turret ring is 100mm thick now (120mm at the front) with 40mm of spaced armor around it.
- UFP is 120mm thick now and MG and driver window weakspots are gone.
- Track armor is no longer a solid blob and sticks true to where the wheels and tracks are.
- Random 30mm spot on the roof for the driver's hatch went bye-bye.
- LFP buffed from 25° to 30°, UFP nerfed from 32° to 30°.
- Mantlet and gun don't quite cover as much as they did prior.
- Driver and MG weakspots removed, but the 60mm part on the rear hull is now 50mm.
- UFP nerfed from 31° to 30°, LFP buffed from 21° to 30°.
- 30mm zone for engine deck now covers more, ended about when it's under the very rear of the turret.
- Mantlet shape is more flat for the 85mm and there is less overlap between the mantlet and turret armor.
- MG weakspot on the rear of the turret is removed on both turrets.
- Turret front slope buffed from 11° to 19°.
- Most periscopes removed from the hitbox on both turrets.
- The stock turret front slope is buffed from 16°-11° to 19°.

26.9.2015 Q&A
Not much today. Check this picture out:
This is the comparison of the 10.0 render range - on the left you can see the old render range which was a 1000 meter side square - on the right, the circle and what will the players see from now on (green) instead of previous (red).
- Waffenträger E-100 will be replaced in 2016
- in 10.0, the creation of dynamic platoon will be announced by a voice (much to the annoyance of some players)

25.9.2015 Q&A
First, a little about the Chieftain. According to Russian leakers, the situation is as follows - it's possible the Chieftain will not replace the FV215b at all, it will be replaced by "Super Conqueror" (which is a combination of the new Conqueror turret Listy found in archives and additional spaced armor plating). Chieftain might come as an alternative tier 10 (something like Object 140/430/T-62A) and might an entire alternative branch pulled towards it (according to Listy, such a minibranch is buildable from Chieftain prototypes so this is not impossible), but the plans for 2016 are already finalized so the Chieftain branch would only come in 2017. The problem with this approach is that without ANOTHER new tier 10, the 2017 Chieftain minibranch would not do well (as in, if a branch doesn't have a new tier 10 with it, noone grinds it). In any case this will be decided within days.
- it's not possible to introduce the new sounds in 10.0: they will be running on an entirely new sound engine
- WG is strongly considering hiding the names of enemy team players to stop people from using noobmeters
- there is enough single core PC users on RU market to justify removing a feature that makes the game not work on such PC'sm former Soviet republics and Eastern Europe has many players with single core processors who are playing and paying regularily and making the new sound engine for HD client only is not an option as maintaining two sound systems at the same time is too costly. It will be implemented - just later.
- VK 100.01, VK4503 and tier 7 VK4502B are premiums/event vehicles, not regular tanks
- Havok was shelved (delayed) due to the fact it causes too much client performance loss
As you noticed, dear players, WG EU finally after years managed to translate some materials from Storm. The translation was good (some of the "juicy" parts where Storm calls old players "oldfags" are of course censored) - here's a couple of Storm's reaction to that session.
- Storm is not personally responsible for the artillery balance
- the "3 caliber rule" cancellation for heavies won't come in 10.0, it's not read
- Object 430 will be buffed, soon
- crew will be reworked, the new crew system will resemble the WoWs system
- new camouflages will be added in the future, it is possible the Hungarian tanks will get Hungarian colors
- 10.0 will not bring new camouflages, but it will bring crew skill bonuses to existing ones
- the reasons for the crew rework plan are the following: it's inconvenient to move the crews around, there are always "leftover" crewmen stuck in barracks, there is no variability in crew skill grind (everyone is grinding the same skills), some crewmembers are also much less important than others skill-wise
- the main topic of 2016 development will be "fixing the painful WoT issues" - the crew system is one of them and will definitely be changed but there is no finalized list of what issues will be fixed in 2016
- it's possible that the crewmembers (ladies, the Rudy crew etc.) will stay visually, only they perks will be removed and rebalanced
- all these changes are still in the state of ideas, even the initial concept was not made yet
- Merkava prototypes would be suitable for WoT, but Mk.1 has too much armor - there are no concrete plans for an Israeli branch, it's simply "possible"
- according to Storm it's now possible (allowed) to implement composite armor to WoT (as layers of regular armor without the increased effectiveness against HEAT shells)
- 10.0 will NOT bring new sounds or motion physics
- two branches will come in 2016: Swedish branch and French heavies
- Quality Assurance has nothing to do with whether imbalanced tanks end up in the game
- the last major arty nerf not only didn't improve the artillery situation, it brought some negative effects with it to boot. The future major arty overhaul will be "elegant" and will come all at once to solve the arty issues in the long run.
- the video where the developers have shown the new sounds and told that the sounds would come in 10.0 - according to Storm the devs were overeager and didn't say it correctly, for now the new sound engine engine is eating too much processor power
- it's not possible to introduce the new sounds in 10.0: they will be running on an entirely new sound engine
- WG is strongly considering hiding the names of enemy team players to stop people from using noobmeters

About the Hungarian emblems, insignias and colours in WoT
Hello everyone, I’m Karika, a Hungarian military historian,
responsible for some of the Hungarian related articles from
Silentstalker's FTR – For The Record website.
Today, we take a look at how the probably soon to be implemented Hungarian Toldi III light and Turán III prototípus medium tanks should look like in WoT, as upcoming premium vehicles of the German tech tree. Because, as some of you have noticed, they are slightly wrong right now.
One of the first thing you might notice on the HD renders from the links above is that those tanks are painted with the standard German grey colour and have the Balkenkreuz - the emblem of the Wehrmacht - on the turret sides and on the hull front. Some of you even took objection to it on various forums and social networks, rightly.
Why is this a problem? As you might guessed, these things are completely unhistorical, not even a single Hungarian-made tank recieved German paintings or insignias, all of them used original Hungarian ones. And why not make a tank as historical as possible if it would not require too much effort?

Dev Q&A with Storm
Thank you MrConway for sending this ASAP! (A new WG EU/EN CC Manager)
Hello Warriors,
Here is a Q&A from Michael Zhivets(Storm) held with the RU comrades community contributors and bloggers:
There were talks that one of new city maps is going to be ‘Minsk’. Where is this map?
- The Minsk map was removed from our plans.
The most important question, what is going to happen with arty?
- We do not plan a nerf. What we are planning is a full rebalancing of this vehicle class. We want to carefully implement and test each point of the plan. We are also not excluding the possibility to limit the number of arties to 2-3 (with new achievements) or keep it the way it is.
What is going to happen with old Personal missions after new season release? Do you plan a new season?
- We are indeed planning a new season of Personal missions (The old one is going to stay available, so you will be able to finish the current missions)
Any news about Japanese and Chinese TDs?
- Asian TDs and SPGs will need some more time. They are not in our plans for 2016; we are still gathering information about these vehicles, but there is no special interest or special priority on them.
What is going to happen with European branch?
- A common European branch won’t be implemented, there is an issue with crews for European vehicles. We are considering implementing branches with specific European nations like Sweden and Italy. Vehicles of other nations can be added as premium vehicles to existing trees or they can be added as incomplete branches with premium or action vehicles (like it was the case with the CN branch when we introduced the Type 59) without standard tanks.

Paris Map
Hello Warriors,
First look of the "Paris" map.
"Paris" was developed some time ago and will soon be released.
Wargaming used a variety of high-rises on this map that can be seen for the first time and a building of more than 5 floors. The Eiffel Tower deserves special attention, you can enjoy views of the data and fight a fierce battle in the streets of Paris.
If we run out of shells and things get desperate, we can always hang some baguettes around the tanks, couple hours later they will be hard and deadly like APCR!

Storm Q&A
- it's very likely according to Storm that the new sounds (previously previewed in a Youtuber video) will not appear in 9.11 (10.0) because there are issues with their performance on single-core (!) PC's
- new sounds will come once WG figures out how to deal with the performance issues
- one of the variants for sound introduction is to have new sounds only in HD client
- the "9.11 leaked screens" contain features that will likely not appear in 9.11
- the most important part about 9.11 according to Storm is not to introduce many nasty bugs
- the fix for the issue where the tanks are ending up on the same maps over and over again during one session will not be fixed anytime soon according to Storm
- Storm really likes the Czech branch
- Storm reacting on the question whether 9.11 deals that will add bonus to crew skill are pay to win: "Everything that's available for gold you can get for credits."
- Storm states that FV215b will be replaced. However, it is not certain that it will be replaced by Chieftain: "We will switch it. But for what and how - that we will have to think about" (RG: There is a chance that instead of Chieftain there will be Listy's "Super Conqueror", it's possible that the switch will not happen in 9.11 after all)
- VK4502B will also likely be raplaced
- according to some players, Yuri Pasholok found out that FV4202 and Action X turrets were identical armor-wise. According to Storm, actual measurements with ultrasound probe produced different results.
Wargaming is considering the following thicknesses as real:
FV4202: http://imgur.com/a/Qyv10
Action X: http://imgur.com/a/HA2lU
- the loss of camo factor when shooting does depend on whether your gun has a muzzle brake or not
- there are no plans to massively model canvas on vehicle mantlets on many tanks

CZ Tier 8 TVP VTU Koncept
Hello Warriors,
here is the Czechoslovak tier 8 TVP VTU Koncept
Description:
In 1945, the newly reformed army of Czechoslovakia was equipped with a wide assortment of vehicles from Cromwells to T-34's with a large chunk of the armored forces consisting of captured German equipment. One of the proposed solutions to the unification issue was to design an entirely new general purpose tank that would replace all the different tanks in service. The program was called TVP ("Tank for General Use") and in October 1945, the army did lay down a set of requirements for that vehicle. In March 1946, Military Technical Institute (VTU) introduced the first project of the program of a highly mobile and heavily armed medium tank that was inspired by German, Russian and British influences. The initial project was then passed to Škoda that responded on the proposal with a project of their own, the T 40. The VTU concept project never passed the drawing board stage.

X3 Weekly
Hello Warriors,
on the EU server, until Saturday 26 September at 07:00 CEST (UTC +2) we will have x3 XP.
As much as I enjoy some extra XP and I'm glad that EU is doing this...Special XP always attracts the falmer players out of their caves. After the summer holidays I actually find myself craving for some regular x2 XP. No kids... no Falmers (or less), just perfect!

The interview was conducted by Captain R.A. Harrison of GSI (Tech) 21st Army Group starting on Monday May 7th, through the 8th, 1945. Harrison arrived back at the 21st Army Group HQ on the May 13th. The typed interview copy is dated May 28th and stamped May 29th 1945.
I could have sat down and done it all… but it is 30 pages of material and that’s not counting the appendixes. So, I am transcribing parts of it at a time. Sharp eyed readers will note that it is similar, and different, with the version provided by Henschel designer Dr. Erwin Aders in Walter J. Spielbergers books. Many thanks to MadestCat for his assistance with the German sections, name corrections and searches. And many thanks to Shapeshifter for leading me to the interview to begin with. And lastly, to Vollketten, for his assistence in getting the last part done and to everyone else for listening to me ramble away...

BIRTH OF THE TIGER I.
The original order to construct a Tiger I was given to the firm Henschel in 1941. At the same time Dr. Ferdinand Porsche was allowed to develop his own idea of what the Tiger should be. Two versions of Tiger were eventually produced and were referred to, in industrial circles, as the Porsche Tiger and the Henschel Tiger.

Hello Warriors,
seems like the WG tank modellers got a Sgt. Hartman around and couldn't spare on the Т-34/100 polishing...

CZ Tier 7 Konštrukta T-34/100
Hello Warriors,
here is the Czechoslovak tier 7 Konštrukta T-34/100:
Description:
In the early 50's, the Czechoslovak military realized the T-34/85 tank that was being license-produced in Czechoslovakia was getting obsolete and issued an order in 1953 to the VTU military research institute to increase its combat value. One of the proposals in this program by Konštrukta Trenčín included adapting a Vz.44 S cannon (license-produced copy of the D-10T) for the T-34 chassis. It was presented to the Czechoslovak military in 1954 and gathered harsh criticism. The project had several major flaws such as limited ammunition capacity and poor gun depression amongst them. It was rejected in the June of 1954. Other projects of this program included an automatic loader for the 85mm gun or an automatically loaded 100mm gun installation. These were short-lived however as the attempts to upgrade the T-34 stopped in favour of purchasing the production license for the T-54.
