Tiger 131 in WoT?

Hello warriors,

rumours on Russian server and amongst the supertesters appeared that the famous Tiger 131 might appear in World of Tanks as a premium vehicle. For those who do not know - it's the (functional) Bovington Tiger that was used in the filming of the "Fury" movie. It actually fought against the Allies in Africa, where it was captured (after its turret ring jammed and the crew abandoned it) and moved to Britain. Its color is dark yellow ("dunkelgelb") but other than that, it's a "stock" Tiger I.

    But don't add more french heavies or russian tds, they are too similar to already existing tanks ;)
    A fresh paint on a tiger, and it's a new and unique vehicle

    Well that will be nice to see new colors, we'll see how it will be added in game, special vehicle maybe ?

    As far as I'm aware, at least half of the german tech tree should be dunkelgelb rather than dunkelgrau, as they changed the default base colour for armoured vehicles about half way through WWII.

    Still, they probably wouldn't sell as much camo if they did change things, and I suspect there'd probably be people moaning that their Pz 38(t) was the wrong colour.

    Not exactly stock Tiger 1, it has the top Turret and the L56 8.8mm.

      Hmm, well the Japanese are having one, and it would be nice for the Tiger 131 to have a prem tank too but having two identical premiums from different countries is a bit odd.

      You don't make a point there. The Japanese Tiger and the 131 are the same variant of the Tiger I. Their specifications are the same, you just hate Japanese tanks don't you?

    interesting facts, there are only 7 complete Tiger I's left in existence and 131 is the first and only one to ever appear in a movie.

      The Tiger in the film "White Tiger" was modified IS-2 to look like Tiger tank, was not real Tiger tank.

      Looked horrible ...
      To bad was center of movie
      The Rest was good...
      But that thing... Destroyed the movie beyond trash movie borders! Unwatchable.

      Considering most of my clan are not even near purple, but all have most of the cw tanks so far, you are kinda exaggerating.

      Also, WG could just give everything away for free and without the need for any accomplishment for it whatsoever, and everybody will be crying "oh no, my special tank is no longer special, since everyone has it!"

      Let's just give gold medals to all the participants in the olympics as well, that way we can all save us a lot of time, because we can all skip the actual event.

    If this actually happens, it will be interesting to see whether it's a complete re-model and re-texture, or if it just be a re-texture of the current HD Tiger.
