06.06.2015 Q&A

Some screenies of rear-turret HD Tiger model appeared on the internet. It's a fake (a joke from some modder).

- Players are posting more and more cases of 50 meter "ghost shell" shots, Storm states he will investigate;
- Storm confirms that only 1 replay out of 10 WG gets as "ghost shell" report genuinely shows the bug;
- Storm confirms that WG made comparisons whether the Domination mode is profitable enough in credits, they used "income per a unit of time" as an indicator;
- Average time spent in random battle is 7 minutes;
- Average time spent in Domination battle is "a little under 10 minutes";
- The majority of Domination battles end after timeout;
- Module damage is also modified by the 25 percent RNG;
- Platoons are balanced against other platoons in MM within "certain tolerances", there are no plans to introduce a rule where platoons are matched against other platoons with the same class of vehicles;
- Some HD models (Pershing) still have their depression and elevation based upon the needs of SD models (where SD model required certain depression limit and HD model doesn't require it anymore, the old depression limits stayed anyway);
- T49 90mm doesn't have AP shells because "the vehicle has other balance considerations" (advantages);
- Storm is looking forward to Fallout 4;

And the daily:
Thank you Daniel P.!

Yuri Pasholok Q&A

Hello warriors,

Yuri Pasholok answered a few more historical questions related to World of Tanks and other stuff for the FTA VK blog:

- GW E-100 and E50M are Wargaming fakes but the Jagdpanzer E-100 was actually a real project - specifically the one with rear superstructure. The frontal superstructure Jpz E-100 ("Krokodil") is a fake. The ingame Jpz E-100 model has a wrong exhaust system (which is supposed to resemble the Ferdinand and not the Jpz E-100 - specifically the exhaust pipe should be in the niche over the suspension in the are around the fifth roadwheel);
- Yuri Pasholok is planning two books: one about IS (from KV-13 to IS-2M) and one for land cruisers (foreign and Soviet ones). The second book looks interesting but it's not only about the tracked supertanks but also about such wheeled projects (RG: Do want!);
- "Stalin's Balls of Steel" book about Soviet proposals for "rolling" tanks is based only on info found by Yuri Pasholok (his own research);
- Italian branch tier 10 can be an "italianized" Leopard 1 (bought from Germany), possibly with autoloader (Italian project).

New WoT graphics for Xbox One

Check out the new WoT graphics for Xbox One, for some reason the landscapes ambient remind me of TES: Skyrim and Dead Island:

How many of you play WoT in console? I had an Xbox but never played, shooting games just feel wrong with a controller.

More about WT E-100 replacement

Hello warriors,

Yuri Pasholok has shown us what the replacement for the Waffenträger E-100 will be - this corresponds to the earlier released info: it will be a version of Waffenträger Panther with a very long, very nasty gun. It looks roughly like this:

It will be equipped with 15cm L/63 (!) gun that can historically penetrate 200mm of armor at 4 kilometers. Without an autoloader of course. The pictures above are of the Grille 1944 model (the picture above is the 1942 model but it's roughly similar). Currently the replacement is in state of data collection, after that a picture will be made for the purposes of modellers and then the vehicle gets modelled.

Matias Millirin joins Wargaming

Hello warriors,

the former head of Remedy Entertainment, Matias Millirin, left his previous gaming studio to work for Wargaming. This became known with the publication of his letter on the studio site. He worked for Remedy for 15 years and participated in the development of Max Payne and Alan Wake games for example. It is currently not known what position was he hired for in Wargaming.

New screens of Type 59/Patton hybrid, straight from Dom1n's blog. This tank is apparently a Chinese server exclusive.

Personal Reserves are coming!

Hello warriors,

from 7.6. to 14.6., players on RU server will be able to activate the Personal Reserves for the first time. They can be claimed from missions that looks as such:

Mission 1
Condition: Win 10 times while destroying at least one vehicle in each victorious battle
Reward: reserve - 5 percent XP bonus (for 6 hours, activated in personal reserves), can only be completed 9 times per account

Mission 2
Condition: Complete Mission 1 three times
Reward: reserve - 10 percent XP bonus (for 4 hours, activated in personal reserves), can only be completed 3 times per account

Mission 3
Condition: Complete Mission 3 three times
Reward: reserve - 15 percent XP bonus (for 2 hours, activated in personal reserves), can only be completed 1 time per account

These bonuses don't stack (eg. you can't activate medium and small reserves at small time for more XP). The reserves have to be activated until 1.9.2015 and it is not possible to stop an activated reserve.

Wargaming has its own travel agency

Hello warriors,

well, apparently Wargaming now actually has a travel agency (in cooperation with the largest CIS tourist holding, UTS Group):

https://wgtravel.ru/

You can order tickets and hotels all over the world and if you do that using this agency's services, you actually receive a significant gold bonus into the game. This is however most likely valid only for RU server.
